Endurance Inspired by Hope
With Dwight Lagore and Randy Friesen

March 17-18, 2016

Prairie's Annual Missions conference is one of the highlights of our year! All conference events are free to students, staff, and community.

About Dwight
Dwight is a graduate of Temple Bible College and Prairie Bible Institute. Along with his wife Lynn and two children, Dwight founded the SAM Ministries work in Mozambique. He is also a commercial pilot. Dwight’s passion is training leaders to equip and motivate them to bring about transformational development. His total commitment is to see people restored to a relationship with their Father God through Jesus Christ and is confident that all true development flows from this relationship. Lynn and Dwight have hosted a number of Nursing and Discover teams from Prairie.

About Randy
Since 2004 Randy has served as the Executive Director of MB Mission, the global mission agency of the Mennonite Brethren churches of North America. When not travelling to mission projects around the world, Randy speaks to audiences across North America calling this generation to a life of risk and sacrifice in an eternal direction.

Missions Heritage

Birthed in our distinctive missions heritage, Prairie's annual missions conference focuses on the outward commitment of the Christian to answer the call of Christ. Our goals for the Conference are to challenge all members of the Prairie community:

  • To embrace the biblical message of the global mission of God through anointed preaching. God’s mission originates in His nature, finds initiative in His divine will, and is expressed in the mandate of Christ to “go and make disciples of all nations.” God has called, equipped, and empowered the Church to participate as His servant in the responsibility and privilege of His mission.
  • To expose the community to the current works of God in global mission. God is continuing in His mission today through the worldwide witness of congregations to the gospel of Jesus Christ in every culture.
  • To engage in all realms of personal responsibility and influence to join God in His mission. The faithful Christian servant is to participate in the mission of God through willing submission to God’s unique design and calling.
